Why we are different
The Davies Business English learning concept goes far beyond that of conventional English courses. With us, you or your employees receive personal, intensive coaching. Thus successes are a lot faster. We do not give ordinary courses with standardised lessons.
We focus solely on efficient training of English for business purposes. You will benefit from the experience of a native speaker with a business background and you will not waste your time learning content which is not relevant.
Your coaching is planned with you right from the beginning with topics, grammar and vocabulary that meet your specific needs - exactly the English that you will use when you return to work.
Our coaching takes place in the ideal situation for you to concentrate on the language. This can be at your workplace, or for even better focus, on Mallorca away from the job. We prepare you for your short intensive training so that you know what to expect, and we follow up with regular updates so that you can continue to make progress even after the training.

Comments and recommendations from our clients
After the training, I started more relaxed into the daily conversations, rang up my colleagues pro-actively and contacted one potential customer in the UK. That was challenging but I felt good and so it worked well. Actually, I have no idea how to make the training better, because for me it was the best, I ever had. I also recommend you to some of my colleagues and friends.
I recommend personalised Business English training with Clive Davies to improve your confidence and ability to communicate at a professional level.

Communication
I have seen a few social-media posts recently about problems with learning English and they have made me think that many people may be approaching the whole concept of language learning in what I consider to be the wrong way.
Many people think that it is necessary to learn English because it is an important global language; but how much of the globe do they really want to communicate with? This raises the question ’Who do you want to talk to?’
If people are working in international environments then there could be a real advantage in having good English language skills for talking with clients, suppliers, colleagues, team members, subordinates, employees... - there are many possibilities.
The...
It takes effort
I started running about 3 months ago because I knew that my lack of activity brought about by lockdowns and laziness had caused my fitness level to be a lot less than it should be. I had started with good intentions before Christmas and bought myself a smart watch to monitor everything.
To be fair to myself, I had started with hiking some months before but a good hike takes several hours and really eats into the day so I was finding it enjoyable but not so practical. I needed to move faster so running seemed to be the answer. The problem was, I have never enjoyed running and found it hard going.
I started with short distances...
3 Things
What are the three most important things you can do to improve your Business English communication? 1. Prepare Prepare your call, your meeting, your trip - whatever it is. Whether a five minute call or even a 5 day trip, it will be better if you prepare. Think about the conversations you want to have and what you want to say between ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’. Do you have the vocabulary that you need? If the answer is ‘No’ then the next question is ‘Do you have a good dictionary? One of my clients went to Canada recently for a week or two. Before he went we talked about the meetings he would have in order to help him to prepare and we also spoke...

Hobbies and interests - don't just make a list.
Including a final section on hobbies and interests is very common when writing a CV although it is not obligatory. The reason for doing so is to show a little personal information in addition to the professional experience and education sections because companies employ people, not robots, and they want to see what kind of a person you are outside of the work environment. However, simply making a list of activities and interests is not actually very interesting. Try giving a bit more and writing about your achievements here too. For example, if you like running or cycling, write a line about why you like it and how far or fast you...

Qualify and quantify your experience and your achievements.
I have seen a lot of CVs which only give a very vague and generic description of previous positions held: a job title and a list of basic responsibilities or duties. If your CV is like that then think about how you can add some useful details which increase the quality of the information you are giving and which quantify your responsibilities and achievements.
For example, information about a team leader position should quantify how big the team was and what kind of project/s it worked on. Numbers are useful to potential employers because they indicate the level of experience and responsibility you are accustomed to.
Other things which can be...
